CityBox – Terms & Conditions & GDPR Policy

1. Service Description

CityBox is an automated self-service luggage storage facility operated by MEGA ENTERTAINMENT SRL. By using our lockers, you agree to temporarily store your personal belongings in accordance with the conditions stated herein.

2. Rental Duration & Rounding Policy

  • The rental period starts when payment is completed and ends upon locker access for item retrieval.
  • Time is calculated by the hour, and after the first hour, it is rounded up every 15 minutes.
  • Examples:
    • 1 hour 01 minute → billed as 1 hour 15 minutes
    • 1 hour 16 minutes → billed as 1 hour 30 minutes
    • 1 hour 46 minutes → billed as 2 hours
  • Locker access is allowed only within the valid rental window unless extended in advance.

3. Payment & Charges

  • All fees must be paid in advance using the available payment methods.
  • Pricing is based on locker size and rental duration.
  • Exceeding your rental period will result in additional fees that must be paid before reopening the locker.

4. Access & Security

  • Upon payment, you will receive a unique access code valid only for your session.
  • Keep this code confidential. You are responsible for access using your code.
  • We are not liable for unauthorized access due to shared or misused codes.

5. Prohibited Items

  • Cash over €500
  • Illegal substances or narcotics
  • Weapons, ammunition, or explosives
  • Perishable goods or live animals
  • Radioactive, flammable, or hazardous materials

Violations may result in legal reporting and item removal.

6. Liability

  • The lockers are unattended and use automated access.
  • We are not responsible for theft, loss, or damage, except in cases of gross negligence.
  • Insurance for stored items is your responsibility.

7. Abandoned Items

  • Items left uncollected for over 72 hours after the rental period are considered abandoned.
  • We may remove and dispose of them according to Romanian law.
  • Retrieval may be subject to fees and identity verification.

8. Emergency Access

We reserve the right to access any locker without notice in case of emergencies, safety concerns, or legal obligations.

9. Data Protection (GDPR)

In compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), MEGA ENTERTAINMENT SRL collects and processes limited personal data:

  • Email address
  • Locker activity logs (e.g. times, access code)
  • Video surveillance recordings on site

Purpose: For security, service operation, and legal compliance.

10. Governing Law
